Applying for housing

Waiting List Status

1 Bedroom: CLOSED

2 Bedroom: CLOSED

3 Bedroom: CLOSED

Waiting list terms

Please only apply for the bedroom size you need and not for any of the CLOSED lists.

If any applications are received for a CLOSED list, they will be disregarded and deleted.

As a small housing Co-op we have small housing stock and very low turnover and therefore our list is not open very often. As a member and volunteer led co-op, we do not have resources to keep contact details for anyone wanting to be informed when our list is open, so please check this site for when the list might be open.

You MUST live or work in the Waterloo area.

Please do not write EHH Co-op directly as your letter or email will not be processed.

Please check back periodically, as the list will reopen at some point in the future.

How to apply to the Waiting List

Applicants to the Waiting List must demonstrate and provide evidence of all of the following:

1

To be on the Lambeth Housing register

You will be able to provide proof of your bidding number along with your allocated banding. We will also ask you to provide proof of your bidding history with Lambeth council. More information about registering with Lambeth can be found here: https://beta.lambeth.gov.uk/housing/finding-home/social-housing

2

To be in genuine housing need in Lambeth

You will not own property elsewhere and will be able to demonstrate why you consider yourself to be in need of housing.

3

To have a current stake and involvement in the local community.

Local community means in the immediate surrounding areas such as Waterloo…
Check policy for area covered Your involvement could be that you have have grown up in the area, are a key worker such as a teacher or nurse or have lived or worked locally for a long period of time

4

To show an interest and commitment to being a member of a housing co-operative.

This will involve continuing participation at meeting etc. Members of the co-op are expected to take part in the management of the co-op which is reflected in the rent we pay

5

To show that you have been active in looking for housing

We would require evidence of current and live applications for housing with other providers, and that you are actively seeking housing

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that by applying to join EHH Waiting List when it is open, is not a guarantee that you will be housed. It is a waiting list and not suitable for someone in acute housing need. Our main criteria for allocation a property is based on housing need and not how long you have been on the list. We therefore strongly advise and encourage applying for housing with other co-ops/housing associations/Lambeth to keep your options open. Please check out some links below that may be of use
